The original magazine design for "Real Simple" is a very bland, gender neutral design. I wanted to take more of a fun glamorous approach, with the target audience being busy on-the-go 30-to 40-year-old moms. When these ladies finally are able to sit down and read it, I want the magazine to feel like a quality relaxing experience, designed to be a treat at the end of their active day. I believe I have achieved this through the soft color schemes and modern, inspirational photography styles.
